The Marathon OSAR-D traces its lineage to the SAR-D developed for Canadian Search and Rescue technicians in the early 2000s. These were purpose-built instruments created for professionals working in demanding environments, where durability, legibility and reliability mattered far more than fashion. That heritage remains immediately recognizable in the OSAR-D's uncompromising black dial, substantial dive bezel and rugged brushed stainless-steel construction.
